LOVE CHOCOLATE
Want a simple recipe to make your own chocolates? Check this one out below.
You can use any topping and flavours to change them up.
The hearts are chopped almond and raisin
The bark is toasted buckwheat, goji berry and cacao nibs
The squares are peppermint and cocoa nibs
Basic chocolate recipe is as follows…
Ingredients
1 cup of cacao powder
2/3 cup of cacao butter
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
1/4 cup of maple syrup
2/3 cup of cacao butter
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
1/4 cup of maple syrup
What’s next?….
1. Melt cacao butter and coconut oil on low till liquid
2. Stir through maple syrup and cacao powder until silky smooth
Hearts- half full the moulds with choc mixture. Drop a piece of almond and raisin into the mould and top with extra chocolate mixture
Bark- line a plate with baking paper and pour out a few tablespoons of chocolate mixture. Scatter the bark ingredients on top
Squares- place 2-4 drops of peppermint oil into the remaining chocolate mixture and stir. Pour into moulds and scatter cacao nibs on top.
Place all the chocolates into the fridge to set. Once hard pop out of moulds, and break up the bark into bite size pieces. Beat stored in the fridge as they will soften.
Other flavours to try
– Dry blueberries or cranberries
– Orange essential oil to make Jaffa flavour
– Shredded coconut
– Hazelnut
