A great alternative to the traditional Anzac biscuits, these little treats are tasty and super easy to make. They are a perfect snack for on the run and are loaded with lots of healthy fats, keeping you full for longer. Oats are a great source of protein and are high in the minerals potassium, calcium and magnesium, and rich in B vitamins. They are also a great source of silica, which is a great anti-inflammatory and keeps hair and nails strong. What is probably the most important feature of oats is its fiber content, in particular beta-glucan. Beta-glucan has been shown to reduce cholesterol and is therefore beneficial to the cardiovascular system, reducing the risk of strokes and heart disease.
